Obama Campaign Raffling Off Dinner with Candidate
The Barack Obama campaign is raffling off a chance to eat with the candidate and three other supporters at an "intimate dinner for five." Winners will be chosen from among the pool of people donating any amount to the Obama campaign between now and 11:59 p.m. March 31. Hmm. I don't know if I've ever been to an "intimate" dinner where the guest list numbered more than two. Add the politico element, and you're getting more into "intimidating" territory. At least for me. Or you could go to an Elton John concert with Hillary.

Oh, man. This stuff is getting redic. This stuff all sounds like talk show gimmicks. What is John McCain's campaign going to do?

Since you asked, you can join him on his bus.

WTF! I was actually going to make a (admittedly lame) joke about "What, can you ride shotgun on the Straight Talk Express?" but it looks like that would have been exactly what you could do. I'd be torn between a night with Sir Elton and a ride on the STE. Elton's got some good songs, and it would be kinda surreal to meet him in the company of Hillary. It would be all kinds of awkward, but not as awkward, I think as having dinner with Obama and 3 of his supporters. That's exactly the kind of dinner party I try to avoid in real life. Riding on the STE would be cool if you could do it for an extended period. I bet there's lots of great road food to be had on a tour like that.
