Ride JetBlue, Get Free Cream Cheese
JetBlue doesn't usually offer in-flight meals, but with the help of Kraft they're giving out free breakfasts featuring Kraft's new low-fat cream cheese. It's a perfect marketing opportunity—it's not like the customers will have anything else to eat or anywhere else to go.

So what, they can't maybe throw in a bagel??

Sounds like a pretty bright idea to me. My one issue is that, at least in my world, a bagel and cream cheese (by themselves) doesn't constitute "breakfast." It's something I'll eat in the morning when I don't have time for breakfast or in the afternoon because it's darned tasty if you have good ones....but it's not breakfast. (Add a cup of coffee or 4, some juice, a piece of fruit, etc...now you're talking).

I wonder what they use to make this low fat cream cheese? Surely there's no such thing as low fat cream.

I think they pump more air into the cheese like low fat ice cream. Low fat doesn't take too bad, it's the fat free that's like cardboard (and scary). I'd rather run an extra mile than eat that.

It's kind of weird that corporate sponsorship might replace the food that the airlines stopped serving, at least on the short-haul flights. Airplanes as a commercial space is nothing new, what with tray table advertising. And I guess passive, hungry passengers make for good test subjects.
