This Peanut Looks Like a Duck

And so does this potato. And this tomato. And this beer foam. But don't forget how it all started...with a peanut. [via Coldmud]

The peanut & the tomato are the best of the bunch!

But is it a duck?

Quote:
It is this action of any object having the correct walk and quack methods being accepted by the function that evokes the quotation and hence the name

Now of course the function of edibility must be examined, aside from the walk and quack methods.

I say if it's edible it can be called food. If it's been eaten before it can be called food.

What would fall into these categories? Potato, tomato, beer foam, peanut. Any sort of flesh, animal vegetable or human. Probably not rubber ducky.
But who knows. There may be a four-year-old out there who has done it to his (yes, probably his) mother's distress.

Next up: A duck that looks like a peanut?

Oh excuse me. I should say that even things that are edible that can be called food are not always good food.

I've seen photographs of food, food that most people would unquestioningly accept as being food, that I'd definitely not want to eat based on the way it looked in the photo.

Some things just ain't pretty.
Should all things that ain't pretty be kept hidden from sight?

I love thinking about that question.

I'd like to break it open and see if there's any foie gras inside.

A friend of a friend found a song from way way back by Marsha Gee called "Peanut Duck". This must be a sign.
