In 2010 Las Vegas will become home to the world's first vertical farm. The 30-story farm will cost $200 million and grow about 100 crops, enough food to feed 72,000 people. [via Coldmud]

This item has been around for weeks now. By question to you is to prove it. The "article" in question reads like a press release with some questionable numbers. In addition I can't find any news outlet that has covered this. There is no follow up. So this is merely idle speculation.
Also - this concept isn't new. I've seen attempts to build in Portland, Seattle, and New York. Guess how many have been built? If you guessed "zero" you would have gotten it right.
