Photo of the Day: Chinese Take-Out of the Future

SE's designer Raphaël excitedly brought in a strange Chinese take-out menu to the office this morning.
"It's Chinese food...from the future!"
After looking over the menu, I'm sad to report that the Chinese take-out food of 2008 is no more advanced than the Chinese take-out food of the present.

But they are already the past: "We served all party tray with any order on the menu"
And I like how they are going to privide free delivery...by car. Better than by foot I suppose.

Nice looking photo of the restaurant on the cover of the menu. Prospect Park West sure has changed since the last time I saw it.

The little guy in the car is sort of cute - reminds me of a really cheap version of a Mario Nintendo game.
But my question is: How on earth does one manage to deliver food "by car" well in a truly urban environment?
There's no place to park, you can't leave the car running and just jump out the door and leave it because someone might steal it, and double-parking is really not all that cool to do on a steadily consistent basis unless the tips for doing so are fabulous (maybe that's where the eight dollar charge comes in? Not enough, considering the average cost of a NYC parking ticket).
So do you need two guys, one to drive and one to jump out the door to deliver? Sort of like when one plans to rob a place - the driver and the action person?

So they are really tricking us, srhcb. A clever mind-game designed to serve us leftovers while making pretense otherwise to the Western mind that is not cogent of what year it really is.
No wonder they serve brown rice. Widely-used industrial husking methods used to produce white rice may not have been invented by 2008 on the Chinese calendar.

Sorry. Make that "cognizant" not "cogent". Obviously the task of wondering whether this restaurant is serving food of the future or food of the past has stretched my mind beyond its limits and I now talk like one of The Three Stooges.

Karen Resta: Several places in my neighborhood (Park Slope, BK) manage to make car deliveries. They generally just double park and leave the car running. You know, I'd never thought of this, but their strategy must differ from order to order. It's fairly obvious from my building's exterior that the driver won't have to go inside and/or climb stairs, so he must feel comfortable leaving his car running. But I wonder what they do when they see a large apartment building. Hmm.
I've also noticed that it's the Chinese places that more often use cars, whereas the greasy spoon diners just send someone on a bike.
