Shopping Cart Bicycle
Custom-built for the express checkout—and gets better mileage than your Prius.
All you eco-grocery-shoppers can rail against bottled water, tote your own canvas bags, and green your kitchen to your heart's content.
But until I see you pedaling to your food co-op on one of these, I don't even wanna hear it. Make your own via Instructables.

Curious-----do you think a man or a woman invented this mode of transportation/shopping?

Awsome! I already have a huge basket on my rack, but I do have to limit my groceries so maybe this is the next step.

This is, hands down, the coolest thing I've ever seen. It probably wouldn't be as fun when it comes time to pedal it uphill while laden with groceries though.

If you lived somewhere flat, you'd be set. I think I'd try to sub out the cart's wheels with more "sticky" tires—maybe some sort of gummy skateboard wheels.
I'm sure conventional grocery stores would not allow you in on it, but it would pose a dilemma for the more crunchy wu-wu food co-ops, since it's obnoxious BUT "green."
