Unfortunately Named Candy Bars
Apparently nobody told the Swedish candy company Cloetta that Plopp just ain’t the most appetizing of onomatopoeias. Or else the company just didn’t care. The bite-sized milk chocolate squares are filled with a gooey caramel and become the perfect nibble. Or series of nibbles...
The one I had recently was a gift from a globetrotting friend—how could I resist?
The Cloetta candy enterprise also has a line of licorice gums called Assa. Hmm, the scatological references don't seem too accidental anymore.
Any other imported foods that double as silly English words? Though it's not a candy, Hardon Tea from the Curacao island, is a classic.

I want some Plopp.
This site hasn't been updated in a few years, but Rude Food is a database of food with questionable names. Ah yes, how I love the Internet...

Seems to me like Plopp would be a big hit with adolescent boys.

It's not a candy bar, but the Japanese tubular wafer candy, stuffed with creamy chocolate and called COLLON has to be on the list.
Also, the Reggie bar, only because it was named after Reggie Jackson (who mistakenly thought the Baby Ruth was named for Babe Ruth) at his request. Comments from some of his teammates included: "It's the only candy bar that tastes like a hot dog," "When you unwrap it, it tells you how good it is," and "It's the candy bar with mustard."

In 1992, in France, my friend and I stopped at an ice-cream truck and got a lemon pop that rejoiced in the brand name of "Zit!"--I still have the wrapper somewhere.
