Freshly Killed, Squirming Octopus Tentacles

Depending on your level of culinary adventurousness, the following video will either make you hungry or kill your appetite. If you haven't eaten yet, click accordingly.

The video is from my friend Cyrus Farivar, who filmed it on a recent trip to South Korea.

Oh. my. god.

Oh Adam, have you seen Oldboy yet?

That is so so cool.

That's nothing. You should have seen the pissed off responses I got when I posted this video:

And thats from here in JERSEY, not Japan!

I've seen Oldboy, Lia! I don't remember any octopus stuff, though. I think it made an impression on me in other ways. Crazy movie!

Have to say I found that pretty light. This is far more like the deal I knew and did not love while living in Korea

Heh. Thanks, Graham. That was pretty intense.

I really need to try this. Too awesome.
Jperlow, your sushi chief is a little heavy handed, lost a whole chunk of meat on that final yank before dunking in to the water :)
Adam, the octopus part is one of the best scenes of Oldboy!

Why can't I remember the damn octopus scene!?! And I watched it not that long ago! I'm going to look for it on YouTube.

Geez... Octopi are really intelligent little guys! I'll have to think on it for a few days but that video might've just made an animal rights advocate out of me...

I don't even know what to say about that one....yuck

emily20008: Oh. That's right. Did you ever see that PBS or Discovery Channel program on them? Some oceanographers made a complex maze of tubes and such and showed how smart the octopi were. I'm going to try to find that on YouTube now.
