Serious Eats Rorschach, Day 2

The response to the Food Rorschach test has been overwhelming and extremely gratifying. So gratifying that I feel compelled to offer a second food rorschach, based in part on questions posted by readers.

And maybe what we'll do is try to do a single food rorschach question every day. I figure between our collective imaginations we should be able to come up with one good one a day for the foreseeable future. And if it stops being fun and starts to seem forced, you'll tell me and we'll stop.

So here is the Day 2 Rorschach Test:

1) Thin or Thick-Crusted Pizza (Known in certain locales as a casserole)

2) Fried Chicken Drumstick or Wing

3) Ruffles or Regular Potato Chips

4) Toasted or Plain Hot Dog Roll

5) Mounds or Almond Joy

You may now begin. Don't obsess over each answer. It's supposed to be fun, and you've probably already been through the college admissions process and done just fine.

some other possibilities

hard cheeses or soft cheeses?

apples or oranges?

red wine or white wine?

hard or soft tacos?

gummi bears or jelly beans?

flat water or water with gas?

ice or no ice?

does it have to be a choice btwn 2 things - if not?

scrambled, sunny side up, over easy, or poached? - eggs

rye, whole wheat or white? - toast

pasta, bread, or rice?

*Thin crust--a no-brainer.

*Wings. Much more fun (messy) to eat, and so savory with all of that gelatin.

*Um, I like Pringles. Sick. Those are more like potato crisps than chips.

*A good hot dog bun should awlays be toasted. Or at least warmed in some manner.

*I wish there were a Mounds-Almond Joy hybrid, with almonds and dark chocolate. It could be called Almond Joy Dark.

1) Thin (not crazy thin, just NY thin, as opposed to deep-dish)

2) Drumstick

3) Ruffles (preferrably Herr's)

4) Toasted (especailly with a alittle american cheese just browned)

5) Almond Joy (fear of coconut)

1) Thin, but not too crispy

2) Wings - hot with blue cheese

3) Ruffles - do they have sour cream and onion flavor?

4) toasted - now there is a concept I could go for

5) Mounds - who could pass up an opportunity to get that close to a coconut in NY

DD

1) NY Thin

6) Gummi Bears - Haribo Gold Bears

7) Sparkling water

8) Hard tacos
