The Vagabond is West of Pecos' nod to serious whiskey drinkers. It's spirit-forward, with just the right amount of anise flavor. Angostura orange bitters are available online.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Rittenhouse 100-Proof Rye
  • 1 ounce Dolin Blanc Vermouth
  • 3 dashes absinthe
  • 3 dashes Angostura orange bitters
  • Garnish: orange slice

Directions

    Combine rye, vermouth, absinthe, and bitters in an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir until well-chilled. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with an orange slice.
