This genever cocktail from Matt Gilpin of Highlands Bar and Grill in Birmingham may look like Tang, but it's boozy stuff, with a wonderfully fragrant Satsuma juice base.
- 1 1/2 ounces genever
- Scant 1/2 ounce Cointreau
- 2 1/2 ounces Satsuma juice
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- Garnish: small slice of a Satsuma or blood orange
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add genever, Cointreau, Satsuma juice, and orange bitters. Shake well and strain into an ice filled rocks glass.
