About This Recipe

Yield:approximately 48 cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • chocolate chips (to taste)
  • dried cranberries (to taste)
  • orange zest (to taste)
  • pecans (optional)

Procedures

    Cream the butter.

    Add the two sugars.

    Separately combine eggs, vanilla, and milk, then add to butter/sugar mixture.

    Separately mix and or sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and add to previous mixture in thirds.

    Add two cups of rolled oats.

    Then add chocolate chips, dried cranberries and orange zest, and pecans (if using).

    Drop by rounded tablespoon on prepared cookie sheets and bake in a 350 degree oven for 12-14 minutes or until cookies turn golden brown.
