Ingredients

  • For Almond Meal Rim:
  • 1 tablespoon almond meal
  • 1 tablespoon tubinado sugar
  • For the cocktail
  • 4-5 brandied cherries
  • 1/2 ounce marizpan, diced
  • 2 ounces dark rum such as Ron Anejo Pampero Aniversario
  • 1/2 ounce Combier
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Ice

Procedures

    In a small bowl, whisk together almond meal and sugar. Moisten rim of a coupe glass with orange juice. Place rim of glass in sugar mixture to coat.

    Muddle cherries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add marzipan, rum, Combier, and orange juice. Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 1 minute.

    Strain cocktail into prepared coupe glass.
