- 2 1/2 cups apple cider
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 cup dark rum
- Garnish: honey
In a deep, freezer-proof container (like a mixing bowl or bread loaf pan) mix the cider, sugar, lemon juice and ginger until the sugar is dissolved. Add the rum, and place in the freezer until frozen solid, about 5 hours.
Using a metal spoon, scrape the block so it shaves off in snowy piles. Garnish with honey and enjoy!
