'Ninho' means nest in Portuguese, and the name's a nod to one of Brian Block's favorite beers, Hitachino White Nest beer. This cocktail also includes a distilled version of the beer. Blood oranges add a lovely color if you can find them.

Recipe from Brian Block of Aldea in NYC.

  • 2 wedges blood orange
  • Small bunch of cilantro
  • Ice
  • 1 ounces Kiuchi No Shizuku Hitachino Nest Distilled White Ale
  • 4 ounces Hitachino White Nest Beer
  • Garnish: blood orange wedge, sprig of cilantro

  1. 1.

Muddle blood orange and cilantro in cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and add distilled Hitachino spirit to mixture. Shake and strain into ice-filled collins glass, and top with beer. Garnish with wedge of blood orange and sprig of cilantro.
