Ingredients
- For Honey Syrup:
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- For Celtic Smash:
- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces Glenrothes Alba Reserve Whiskey
- 3/4 ounce Benedictine
- 1/2 ounce lemon juice
- 1/4 ounce honey syrup
- 2 orange slices
- 6-8 mint leaves, plus one sprig for garnish

Make Honey Syrup: Place honey and boiling water in a heatproof bowl. Whisk until honey is dissolved. Let cool.

Make Cocktail: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add whiskey, benedictine, lemon juice, honey syrup, orange slices, and mint leaves. Shake well for 30 seconds.

Place to large cubes of ice in an old fashioned glass. Strain cocktail into glass. Add mint sprig for garnish.
