Sherry adds a sweet-savory element to this whiskey cocktail. The Trilby's Heather Herman uses Morris Kitchen ginger syrup, but you can also make your own by adding fresh ginger to the pot when you make simple syrup.
Rye Sherry Amour

- 1 1/2 ounces Bulleit Rye
- 3/4 ounce dry Amontillado sherry
- 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 ounce ginger syrup (such as Morris Kitchen)
- 1/2 ounce light agave nectar
- Garnish: mint sprig
Fill cocktail shaker with ice, add rye, sherry, lime juice, ginger syrup, and agave. Shake well. Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Garnish with mint sprig.
