  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F and adjust racks to upper and lower middle positions. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together flours, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about two minutes. Beat in vanilla and egg.

  3. 3

Beat in flour mixture in two additions, scraping down sides of bowl each time. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and pecans. Drop 1 1/2 inch balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets. Let dough rest in fridge for 20 minutes.

Bake cookies until golden on the outsides, about 15 minutes.
