Bonny McKenzie, who has worked at the Wine Cellar since its opening, is often called "Bunz." She took a classic martini, gave it a Chartreuse rinse and a flamed orange peel garnish, creating the Toasty Bunz.
- Green Chartreuse
- 2 1/3 - 3 ounces Plymouth Gin
- Dry Vermouth
- Orange twist
Pour a small amount of Green Chartreuse into a martini or cocktail glass. Coat inside of glass with Chartreuse by swirling, then discard extra. Fill rocks glass with ice. Add gin and a splash of vermouth (or more to taste). Stir with cocktail spoon and strain into prepared martini glass. Light a match and hold it above the glass with one hand. Squeeze the orange zest over match with the other. Run flamed orange zest over rim of glass and add to cocktail. Serve immediately.
