DIY Microwave Popcorn
There are many brands of microwaveable popcorn to choose from, but it's easy (and cheaper) to do it yourself with a paper bag and popcorn kernels. A little butter, salt, and sugar make this microwaved popcorn the perfect pairing for sparkling wine.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup plain white popcorn kernels
- 1 paper bag
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated baker's sugar

Empty popcorn kernels into paper bag, fold paper bag over twice.

Put paper bag into microwave and set it for 3-4 minutes. As popping time will vary by microwave, stop it when the pops slow down to 2 seconds between pops.

Carefully remove from microwave, add melted butter, salt, and sugar, and shake to combine.
