New Year's Champagne Cocktail: The Chic French 75

Here's another New Year's Eve Champagne cocktail. Holli, this one is for you. Want more? Drink up!

When I think of New Year's Eve, I think of sparkle: sequined dresses, sparkling wine, leftover windswept Christmas lights. But the trick to making Champagne really sparkle is a sugar cube. This French 75 uses sugar cubes to add a touch of exhibitionism to a New Year's cocktail party. Pass a tray of these lemon and gin and Champagne cocktails around, and as each guest picks one up, drop a sugar cube or two into their flute. The Champagne will spatter and sparkle, and come to life.
