Real Lemonade
- makes 1 pitcher -
Adapted from The Silver Palate Cookbook by Julee Rosso and Sheila Lukins.
Ingredients
12 lemons
1/2 cup sugar
Ice
Procedure
1. Mix the juice of the lemons with the sugar in a pitcher, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Cut the lemon zest into strips; add to the pitcher.
2. Fill the pitcher with ice. Let it melt for about 30 minutes. Serve with crushed ice and garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint.
