The Cartoon Kitchen: Celery Root Purée
This week's Cartoon Kitchen features Serious Eats' cartoonist in residence Larry Gonick's spin on celery root purée. —Ed Levine
Ingredients
- 1 whole celery root, peeled and cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup hot milk
- Butter
- Black pepper
Procedures

Boil celery root in water until soft, 15 to 20 minutes.

Mash, then whip, with the hot milk, some butter, and black pepper, until smooth. Serve.
