Turnips Anna
Ingredients
4 to 5 medium turnips, trimmed, peeled, and sliced into thin rounds
Butter
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Procedure
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Meanwhile, in a well-buttered iron skillet, lay turnip slices spiraling outward from center. Salt and pepper, and dot each layer with butter.
2. Cover pan, and bake in oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes more. When done, invert turnips onto plate, and serve.
