- Butter and flour, for baking sheet
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- Salt
- 1 cup chopped or crushed almonds
- 3/4 teaspoons almond extract

Butter a rimmed baking sheet and dust with flour, tapping away any excess; set aside. Beat 2 egg whites until frothy; slowly add 1 cup sugar and a touch salt, and beat to beat the band.

When quite thick, fold in the almonds and the almond extract.

Teaspoon onto the prepared baking sheet; let sit for 2 hours, and then bake at 350°F until pale brown, about 12 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool on a cooling rack.
