Happy Thanksgiving, Serious Eaters

On this eve of mandatory serious eating, aka Thanksgiving, many of the good folks at SE World HQ are about to go into serious cooking mode. My wife and I are cooking for ten, including our son Will, who's in from Los Angeles, and SE's own beloved Chichi Wang. It should go without saying that Chief Creative Officer Kenji Lopez-Alt is cooking a whole mess of his flawless Thanksgiving creations for friends and family. SE's managing editor Jamie Feldmar will be going into hyper-prepping and cooking mode for the 20 folks gathering in her apartment in Brooklyn in what can only be described as a Thanksgiving potluck, with the luck removed courtesy of an Excel spreadsheet to avoid duplication. So as we wind down our efforts on the site for the next few days (as you can imagine it's always insanely frenetic this time of year at the office—think stuffing waffles to the fifth power) and scatter like wind-blown thyme leaves for the holiday, we wanted to take a moment to wish our ever-growing Serious Eats community the happiest of Thanksgivings.

As the Serious Eats overlord I have much to be thankful for: the astoundingly talented and hard-working crew of SE staffers, including Sweets editor Carrie Vasios Mullins and Drinks Editor Maggie Hoffman in San Francisco, Chicago editor Nick Kindelsperger (who with his terrific wife Abby welcomed the latest member of the SE family this year, daughter Mira); our unflappable and unbelievably talented designer/developer team of Tracie Lee and Paul Cline; our amazing crew on the business side, ad sales honcho Jim Lehnhoff and his extraordinary team of Jennifer Vandertoorn, Leandra Palermo (who does double duty as our Cereal Bureau chief), and Ben Fishner; our New York-based editorial staffers including the aforementioned Kenji and Jamie, New York editor Max Falkowitz, visual goddess Robyn Lee, and assistant editor Niki Achitoff-Gray, our current crop of interns Remy Robert, Ben Jay, Lily Chin, and Cleo von Siebenthal, our far-flung contributors from all corners of the globe; and our supportive advertisers who enable us to do what we do.

Most of all, I am thankful to our community—the millions of serious eaters from around the world who continually amaze me with their passion, discernment, and welcoming spirit. Happy Thanksgiving, Serious Eaters.
