The thought of Taipei stirs up dreams of night markets, little eateries, savory dishes of beef noodle soup, braised pork over rice, and visits to the original Din Tai Fung. But there's a whole different side to the city, one that's rich with a variety of enchanting tea houses and cafes, lunch bargains at Robouchon, afternoon tea (some done buffet-style!),or a trip to Maokong for oolong-infused dumplings and tea tastings.
