Highlights Of The Upcoming New York City Wine And Food Festival
The New York City Wine and Food Festival, the biggest culinary event to hit NYC each year, is happening this weekend. From seminars to late night parties, intimate dinners to epic showdowns, there's something for every food lover at this fete, which celebrates all things food and drink. Keep in mind that while many large events get the most exposure, if you're looking to avoid the major crowds, the smaller events have unique and exciting experiences to offer.. There are so many events to choose from; here are a few that Serious Eats thinks are worth your while:
The Grand Tasting
The largest part of the festival, this signature event offers access to culinary demonstrations, book signings, bites from top chefs and restaurants and endless sampling of fine wine and spirits. Join Serious Eats and Progresso for a demonstration celebrating Progresso's new Artisan Soups. Chefs Marco Canora, Einat Aidmony, and more will be cooking live demonstrations of their favorite soups - with Serious Eats' very own Ed Levine and J. Kenji Lopez-Alt acting as their sous-chefs. If you're headed to the Grand Tasting, make sure to come stop by and check it out!
