Too many M&Ms
Too many M&Ms

We took a little field trip to our favorite local candy store, Economy Candy, to get some Halloween-related supplies...and to take silly photos. Like Eric seeing how many five-pound bags of M&M's Ben could carry.

Eric's mind continues to be blown, this time by five-pound lollipops.

"FULL HANDS—EMPTY HEART"

Economy Candy also sells random comic books. Jamie was particularly fond of this one.

Jamie was all like, "OH YES HONEY NUT CLUSTERS ARE THE BEST BWAHHAHA ALL FOR ME!!!" when we first received these boxes in the mail, but Honey Nut Clusters soon turned into the cereal that broke her heart. Here's a photo to remember the good times.

You know you work with good people when you follow up a group dinner with a snack at Famous Ben's of Soho. Jamie gets into a cup of horchata cream ice while Paul eyes the Palermo slice.

Robyn and Chichi (yes, she's alive!) went to Max's place to try sous-viding bison in a beer cooler. It worked beautifully!

Alaska, the beautiful
Alaska, the beautiful

Last week Kenji took a trip up to Fox Island in Alaska for some serious fish talk. Sure there was fishing, cooking, and eating, but there was also insanely ridiculously incredibly awe-inspiring scenery like this, taken from a sea kayak.

Super-Fresh
Super-Fresh

Kenji examines a freshly caught halibut filet that he just finished butchering while chef Jesse Ziff Cool of Flea Street Cafe in Menlo Park, California, looks on. So fresh it was still twitching!
