Guilty pleasures? I love fatty foods, especially bacon. I will eat any bacon-infused food, especially dessert. By far, the most amazing bacon sweet I've had is a bacon macaroon from Panya.

Describe your perfect meal. My perfect meal would start with fresh Kumamoto oysters with lemon juice and cocktail sauce. Then proceed to soft, fluffy white rice with a sunny-side-up egg drizzled in soy sauce, miso braised pork belly, extra old kimchi, and a salad. Then, it would finish with a cup of Earl Grey tea and a crème brûlée for dessert.

What food won't you eat? Anything with rosemary or lavender. I don't like the aroma and flavor. I also don't like cilantro, ginger, cinnamon, and star anise in large quantities.

Favorite food person? Alton Brown—everything he says on Good Eats never fails to educate me.

When did you first realize you were a serious eater? I noticed my love for food during my first year in high school. That was when I started experimenting in my kitchen and spending my allowance on dining out.

What do your family and friends think of your food obsessions? I think they find it normal, since I come from a house of cooks. The only thing my family finds weird is my obsession with taking food photos.

Favorite food sites or blogs? Cooking Korean food with Maangchi and JustHungry.com

Everyone has a go-to person they call for restaurant recommendations. Who's yours? Unfortunately, I don't have this person because I'm the go-to person for restaurant recommendations amongst my friends. Normally, I ask Mr. Google for suggestions. I occasionally get my recommendations from various friends and acquaintances.

What is your favorite meal of the day and where do you get it? Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I could even eat breakfast for dinner. Normally, I don't have the money to eat breakfast outside of my home. But when I do spend money on breakfast, I like to go to Northern Spy Food Co. for the open face mushroom sandwich. If I'm on a budget, I like to go to Tongs Café in Flushing for an HK-style breakfast with egg sandwiches and milk tea.

Do you ever cook? What's the best dish you make? I love to cook. It's my recipe for relaxation. Sushi and onigiri is probably the best dish I make. It was the first thing I really learned how to make and one I make very often. (I even have my own formula for rice seasoning.)
