We got a special delivery at the office on Tuesday. AquaFarm is a self-cleaning fish tank that also grows food. All you do is feed the fish (we named our betta Jeff). His waste gets filtered up through a gravel-based root system and fertilizes the herbs and wheat grass growing above. We've only had ours set up for three days now, but the shoots are already several inches long! We'll keep you updated on how it works, but if you're interested, you can order them online for about $60, or buy them at Whole Foods locations on the West Coast (expanding east soon). They'll even throw in a coupon for a free fish!
