Guilty pleasures? Please don't judge me: Birthday Cake Oreos and Flamin' Hot Cheetos are my guiltiest pleasures. I am also seriously addicted to prosciutto.

Describe your perfect meal. My perfect meal would be a simple Neapolitan style pizza. Maybe with prosciutto and arugula. There is really nothing more perfect than that.

What food won't you eat? I strongly dislike black olives. And Velveeta and pre-shredded "Parmesan"—that stuff is awful.

Favorite food person? I don't necessarily have a favorite person but I would say I truly admire Amanda Hesser and the career she has made for herself—Food52 is quite the food publication and, I feel, a pioneer in the field.

When did you first realize you were a serious eater? My sophomore year of college! I started cooking for myself and got really hooked. I began to think of food in a completely different, much more appreciative light.

What do your family and friends think of your food obsessions? They love it and constantly ask me to cook for them. It helps that they enjoy my food photography.

Favorite food sites or blogs? Smitten Kitchen, foodgawker, Food52. I also love The Spinning Plate, a blog written by a Northwestern grad—she barely posts now but she writes so beautifully, I really look up to her.

Everyone has a go-to person they call for restaurant recommendations. Who's yours? I don't think I actually have one—Zagat and Yelp are my best friends.

What is your favorite meal of the day and where do you get it? Absolutely, dinner. I love ending a busy day with a hearty, satisfying meal. I love to cook my own dinners most of the time—I find it the most relaxing way to wind down after work and school. It's like personal therapy.

Do you ever cook? What's the best dish you make? I cook all the time—basically every day. Not sure what my best dish is yet.
