Depending on the size of the crowd at your place for Thanksgiving, a whole turkey might be too much (or it might not fit in your oven, if you live in some New York City apartments). Or maybe you just have a craving for Thanksgiving flavors in July. Who knows. An excellent option during these times is to make a hassle-free turkey dinner in a single skillet.
For those in a pinch or just looking to celebrate the essence of Thanksgiving with turkey, roasted vegetables and some quick gravy-like sauce, then this should do you just fine, and in a fraction of the time.
You can slice the cutlets if you like to cook them faster or keep them thick, which will most likely retain more moisture. And while I used fig preserves because our Thanksgiving tradition is to make a cranberry-esque sauce with dried figs and port, cranberry or lingonberry will work just as well. Most importantly, have fun and happy Thanksgiving!
