There's so much going on in Talk and the comments week to week that we almost can't keep up. If you're in the same boat, here's a small selection of topics and responses that have piqued our interest this week.

Look Who's Talkin'

[In response to being asked which chefs you'd pair together for a night and what you'd have them serve you.]

"Tony Maws and J. Kenji Lopez-Alt. Because in my fan fiction, they get up to some really steamy stuff in the walk-in."Bo Williams

Ask A Bartender: Are You A 'Bartender,' Or A 'Mixologist'?

"It's not very descriptive, the guy at the paint store is also a mixologist, he mixes the paint to get the color I want."redfish

Kitchen Gadgets: Unexpected Hits?

"Having a little guy at home, a pizza wheel is a million times more useful and faster for cutting his food into bite size pieces than a knife, and anyone that has a 2 yr old knows how impatient they are when waiting to eat pancakes."ESNY1077

Strange food facts...

"Well, botanically speaking, anything growing on a plant that isn't a stem, leaf, seed, root, or flower is a fruit. That includes zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant etc. Another fun fact is that mushrooms are not plants; fungi are in a whole separate kingdom unto themselves because they actually behave more like animals (some of them are even mobile). I personally loathe mushrooms, but it makes me chuckle, wondering what some other vegetarians would think about that." buffy

"Artichokes are a member of the thistle family. Asparagus is related to gladiolus. Onions are a lily bulb. Corn is a grass. Not only are cashews related to poison ivy, so are mangoes. Strawberries are the only fruit with the seeds on the outside. Cherries are more closely related to stone fruits like peaches, apricots and plums than to the berries they are normally lumped in with." Shayrose

A Pizza My Mind: Why You Should Eat More Bad Pizza

"I'll sum it up for you in one phrase, which you have probably heard at least a few dozen times: Pizza is like sex ... even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."Mad Ernie
