Our last challenge for Weekend Cook and Tell was for all of you to share your favorite concoctions reminiscent of favorite fast foods. We called this Faux Fast Food No one chickened out, and led to some fantastically diverse offerings. Here's a peek at some of your most creative dishes.

Fast food doesn't have to always mean a franchise or a burger. missmochi loved the Sriracha Bar from Kogi BBQ so much she had to do a Kenji and get on that. We're loving her homage to The Food Lab. Check out missmochi's Food Lab version, here. (you may want to prepare with a glass of icy, cold milk)

lemonfair "jiggered" a biscuit recipe to closely resemble the soft texture and yellow color from McDonald's bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. Sadly, the recipe is long gone - but we do still have the tip to use amaranth flour, which reduced the gluten and added some color. Lemonfair - we're waiting! (and you're welcome to stop by the office anytime - maybe this warrants it's own Food Lab version?)

Finally, claireOOTO shows vegetarians can have just as much fast food fun by creating Chinese Broccoli and Garlic Sauce that will make you feel like you just ordered take-out. And in case you're jonesing for a veggie burger or hot dog, she's got you covered. Veggies for the win!

A big thank you to everyone for their faux favorites submitted for this week's Weekend Cook and Tell challenge. Be sure to head over to Talk and read about next week's challenge: Tomatoes To Die For.
