Pepperidge Farm tasting
Pepperidge Farm tasting
Thursday was just one of those days when Pepperidge Farm sent us their entire line of cookies, forcing the Serious Eats office to eat cookies all day. You know how it is.

Welcoming our new cookie family
Intern Sam (whose internship ended this week; sniffle!) coddled the army cookie babies with hugs and kisses. ...And then we ate them.

On Tuesday, Robyn went on a press tour of the Frito-Lay plant in Killingly, Connecticut. Unfortunately she wasn't allowed to take photos on the manufacturing floor, but the Doritos-making process is similar to what's shown in this video except instead of starting with ground corn Frito-Lay starts with whole kernels and grinds them in the plant.
"Winning Together!"
When you work at Frito-Lay, you're in a team that's winning together!

Chichi grabbed lunch at Hon Won in Chinatown for her next Slurped post. This is her "Yay, rice noodles!" face.

Dinner at Lotus Blue
Some of the Serious Eaters ate dinner at Lotus Blue in Tribeca for an upcoming review. As usual, the table was overly crowded with dishes.

The best way to get up close to the oyster nursery is by kayak. Fine, if we have to.

That would be New York editor Max Falkowitz's back. He's petting two sea dogs he bumped into while kayaking near the oyster beds.
