Slideshow SLIDESHOW: We Try All of the Sandwiches at Salumeria, San Francisco

When I first heard there was going to be a sandwich shop helmed by the team of Flour + Water and Central Kitchen, it required some effort to not camp outside and await its opening day.

Crazy? Yes. Unwarranted? No. Especially since Salumeria, the aforementioned sandwich shop, would also act as a larder serving the two restaurants. And that you could buy some of the delicious products featured on the two menus, like dried pasta and sauces from Flour + Water, a variety of housemade pickles, sauces, and jams. Not to mention an excellent selection of cheeses, cured meats, and tasty pantry products.

But let's not forget about the sandwiches. Salumeria's menu of five sandwiches changes daily, and while sandwiches may make reappearances, there's no way to predict the day's offerings without checking their website or following them (@salumeriasf). So, while trying all of the sandwiches might have taken us about a year, we did try all of the sandwiches available on one particular day.

Also on the menu: farmers' market produce-driven antipasti, meal-sized salads, and a selection of salumi, cheese, and pâté boards.

See all the sandwiches in the slideshow!
