Where to Eat Daytime Tacos in Cabo San Lucas
Jutting into the wild waters where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is its own swirling mix of situations. Just outside of town, sprawling resorts and spas dominate the oceanfront. Each secluded property offers acres of beach, along with pools and palapas and fresh seafood dining with the whispering surf as a backdrop.
For those staying near the marina, the atmosphere is livelier, giving off a sometimes frenetic feeling that only amplifies when the sun hits the water. The main drag through downtown is Lazaro Cardenas, a four-lane beast lined with storefronts selling t-shirts or big-named bars hawking cheap tequila and good times.
In this part of Cabo San Lucas, you can get margaritas and cervezas all day long, but street tacos are much harder to find.
Just ask The Wandering Eater and I, who spent a few hours canvassing the area for tacos and asking for directions when needed. It turns out, most operations don't fire up the plancha until 6 p.m., an early start for anyone looking to dine in these parts.
