Look Who's Talkin': Comments, Quips, and Tips We Have Known and Loved
There's so much going on in Talk week to week that we almost can't keep up. If you're in the same boat, here's a small selection of topics and responses that have piqued our interest this week.
"If apple pie is too challenging for you... like it is for me, I create a fake-out version with puffed pastry sometimes, creating applie pies like the ones they make in fast food places, or you can make an apple crisp, that has all the flavors of a pie, without the dough!!!
"graded? Do you mean grated? I have no clue what graded cheese means." —missmochi
"C'mon Missmochi. Graded, as in cheddAr. Mild, medium, sharp, and extra shrap. Yes?
Hey, that's the best I can come up wit." —boobird
"Oh you are just the best for posting this!! : ) Thank you so much!! I can't express how many times I have ruined salmon with my poor cooking skills! Now I can have my salmon and eat it too." — Starfoxx28
"I realize that's what they say. That's what I told my mom about asparagus. But she kept making it despite my protests.
She made it roasted with olive oil, salt, and pepper. The rule was, I had to try a bite every time. I thought it was dumb, but that was the rule. She tried it breaded and fried. She tried it with bacon. She tried it with a yogurt sauce...etc, etc. etc. Eventually, I found that I started to develop a taste for asparagus. Now I simply roast it with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Had I not "tried a bite" 20 times over the years, I would have just assumed asparagus was "off limits" for me.

"Well since we are talking particles here, I don't think a crumble cake would be out of place for dessert.
Is it bad if I think poutine with little particle cheese curds and the gravy that holds them all together would make an absolutely awesome main? Like these collisions it only lasts about a zillionth of a second anyways (at least in front of most people I know)
And of course, because nobody has said the classic Einstein joke yet. It is imperative that everyone have a relatively good time at this party, so you should leave nothing to chance." — jareddee
