"French Laundry!" "Restaurant at Meadowood!" "Bottega!" Yes, there's no end of fine dining in California's Napa Valley, in what must be America's highest rate of Michelin stars per capita.

But even those of you down to spend can't do every meal as a tasting menu. Luckily, there are plenty of places in Napa Valley to eat on the cheap, or comparatively cheap.

Kenji and I recently ate our way around Napa (thanks to the folks of Ford Escape) in search of tacos, sandwiches, and dinners that don't require a month's advance reservation and an Amex Black card. Here are our picks.
