What's Not OK To Eat For Breakfast?

This morning my fridge was feeling particular flush after a long weekend of grilling and a few big trips to the farmer's market last week. I started off thinking I'd fry up a couple of fresh eggs for my wife and myself (I like to fry them in plenty of olive oil, basting the hot oil on top so they get nice and crispy/poofy), then noticed the bag of ramp greens I had sitting on in the vegetable drawer and though, ah what the heck. I sauteed those in the leftover olive oil and added them to the plate.

Then, when I went to put the carton of eggs back in the fridge, my eye latched on to some grilled naan leftovers that were lurking there from a cook-out I had the day before (happy Mother's Day, here's some grilled bread, Mom!). So yeah, I sliced those up and tossed them in the pan to create some quick crouton-esque dipping sticks for my egg yolks.

And then I said to myself, wait, croutons without salad? Given that my wife has a constant supply of pea greens in the fridge while they're available, and I have a permanent squeeze bottle of Soy-Balsamic Vinaigrette in the door, it was a no-brainer to add a salad to the plate.

Then a frightening thought crossed my mind: am I really allowed to eat salad for breakfast? Will this meal end up destroying some sort of fragile cosmic balance?

We ate, it was delicious, total protonic reversal did not occur, and the universe as we know it still exists.

But it does beg the question of you, dear readers: What foods have you never eaten for breakfast? What foods would you feel weird eating for breakfast?
