Lunch at Sanur
The whole Serious Eats crew in New York ate lunch at Sanur as a farewell meal to our fantastic interns this past winter/spring (and so we could taste a gazillion dishes in one go). It felt like saying goodbye to friends on the last day of school...[sniff]
Don't forget Kenji
Since our chief creative officer Kenji was taking people's photos, he hardly got to be in any. Here's your chance to shine, Kenji!....uh....um...
Last weekend Max and Robyn went to Indian spices-and-so-much-more superstore Kalustyan's to take photos. Here's Max with some intense skewers.
We got a platter of baked goods from a let's-put-bacon-in-everything bakery called Baconery. Actually everything: cookies, brownies, even Rice Krispies treats.
S'mores sundaes break
Nothing like hearing the words, "Hey guys, I'm making sundaes with toasted marshmallow ice cream!" to get the office out of their seats. You should make s'mores sundaes at home!
Another kind of break
What have we stumbled upon here?...
Niki gets in on the Hambone action, too. (I mean, everyone wants Hambone action.)
Ranch dressing taste test
Many people think our taste tests sound cool. How about 13 kinds of ranch dressing? Still jealous? Don't be.
Enhanced cheese dips in the making
Kenji spend Friday morning preparing add-ins for cheese sauce variations. Just another day in the office.
Sandwich-A-Day superstar intern Lauren Rothman brought in an amazing crumble for us as part of a goodbye gift. The secret ingredient? Our collective tears.
Hambone believes in sharing—a nice way of saying begging. Robyn is quite amused as she unintentionally tortures Hambone with the sight of her partially-eaten Newton's Fruit Thin.
Kati Rolls for all!
The good people at the Kati Roll Company dropped by a line up of kati rolls for us to try. Many a paratha was eaten that day.
