A Sandwich a Day: Shrimp Po' Boy at Domilise's in New Orleans

Meals in New Orleans are rarely a one-napkin affair, and the Shrimp Po' Boy ($10) at Domilise's is no exception. When they serve up your order, the guys at the counter hand over a small stack of paper towelettes, and with a sandwich this chock-full of juicy fried shrimp, fully dressed, you'll need 'em.
What's "fully dressed," you might ask? That means that your sandwich is prepared with the works: ketchup, mayo, pickles, and shredded lettuce. If you're generally struck with indecision when choosing how to adorn your seafood, then this is a win-win situation: The pickle, when it aligns with the ketchup, creates an insta-cocktail sauce; when eaten in a mouthful of mayo, an insta-tartar sauce. Eating shrimp is a must when visiting the Crescent City, and Domilise's ably does the Gulf crustacean justice.
