Bottom Shelf on the Beach
Bottom Shelf'r Will Gordon and his research assistant Emily (you read her Valentine's Day piece, right?) went to Cape Cod last weekend. "Emily likes to mess around on Wellfleet Beach in the winter. I like to compile photographic evidence of her insanity," says Will.
Absolutely Free!
Absolutely Free!
Will and Emily stopped into DJ's Family Sports Pub in Hyannis where the "Free Smells" sign doesn't lie. They walked through, smelled things, and were not charged (though they did tip a buck a sniff).

Spaghetti Party at Caroline's
Spaghetti Party at Caroline's
Cook the Book editor Caroline Russock was cooking from Mark Vetri's Rustic Italian Food cookbook this week. What does she do with all those leftovers, you must be wondering? Lots of dinner parties. It's good to be friends with Caroline. Served at the party this week: spaghetti in parchment with clams and scallions. "Dramatic presentation aside, baking the pasta in parchment allows the winey, clammy sauce to really soak into the pasta. And when you dig into your individual pasta packet, it's worth it alone for the incredible aroma," says Caroline.
