Slideshow: This Week at Serious Eats World Headquarters

Happy birthday, Maggie!
Happy birthday, Maggie!
On Tuesday we celebrated Drinks editor Maggie Hoffman's birthday with videographer Jessica Leibowitz's homemade, heart-shaped muffins and glasses of Spanish horchata from DespaƱa (learn more about Spanish horchata in this tour of a horchata factory). She was quite surprised since her birthday is on...Saturday. (We celebrated early because Jessica couldn't come in for the rest of the week.)
Happy birthday, again!
Happy birthday, again!
We took the opportunity to celebrate again today with sandwiches from Parm. You don't need cake when you have awesome sandwiches.

Signing bookplates
We know we owe hundreds of you guys signed bookplates for the Serious Eats book. We're working on it! Here's Serious Eats overload Ed Levine and editor Erin Zimmer signing away.
Hello from Cakespy
Hello from Cakespy
We love our contributor Jessie Oleson, aka dessert extraordinaire Cakespy, especially when she pops into our office to say hello and grace us with her smile. Here she's holding up her sock design featuring the almighty Cakespy trinity of unicorns, robots, and cupcakes. See if Jessie's coming to your city during her book tour!
Stuffing tasting
Stuffing tasting
We tasted a whole lot of stuffing made of different kinds of bread prepared by our Food Lab-er Kenji Lopez-Alt. Check back later for the results!

Pie buffet
Pie buffet
Is there such a thing as too much pie? Depends on how many people there are to eat it.
Pie, ATTACK!
Pie, ATTACK!
