Does A Game of Thrones make you hungry? Find yourself craving fig-stuffed heron, cold egg lime soup, and the other tasties found in Westeros? SE reader Adam did, so he's decided to cook every single dish mentioned and described in the whole fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin.

"Think of it as a medieval version of The Julie/Julia Project with a little Alton Brown on the side," he says of his new blog Cooking Ice and Fire. Each entry includes a passage from the book, the food's historical significance, and a recipe. Alright, so maybe he's not making every dish—no dog sausage or anything containing horse.

SPOILER ALERT: The blog starts with Book 5: A Dance with Dragons and reveals some spoilers in that book—don't click if this intel will hurt your eyes!
