Cook the Book: 'Guy Fieri Food'
We've been really good here on Cook the Book recently, eating plenty of veggies and offering fresh, great recipes for you all. But this week all of that is about to change.
It's time to break out the hair gel, bowling shirts, and sweatbands and get ready for a week's worth of the money-est, bangin'-est recipes from Guy Fieri's newest cookbook.
Illustrated with tattoo inspired art and chock full of all the Guy info you could ever need, Guy Fieri Food is filled with some pretty over the top recipes. Anyone who has ever seen an episode of Guy's Big Bite or Triple D knows that Guy's tastes run extreme and Guy Fieri Food doesn't disappoint when it comes to delivering big flavors.
It's a meaty book with no shortage of recipes with silly names—Pepperoni Pizza Partay anyone? But just like Fieri, there's something inherently likable about his over the top brand of cooking, totally awesome in a guilty pleasure sort of away.
This week we'll be driving our '67 Cameros down the highway to Flavortown with a selection of Guy Fieri approved recipes. We'll be baking up a loaf of his Texas Hold'em bread (why yes, that is a loaf of white bread with a swirl of pulled pork within), roasting Big Bud's Beer Can Chicken a top a can of Budweiser, and grilling a Bloody Mary Flank Steak that's tenderized in its namesake cocktail.
