A Sandwich a Day: Hi-Rise Bakery's Sin Sandwich in Cambridge, MA

In this great country of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year--so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around the country. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. --The Mgmt.

The folks behind Huron Village's Hi-Rise Bakery are trying to pull one over on us with their Sin Sandwich ($8). The dessert-like treat, which is curiously—no, devilishly—cross-listed in the "breakfast" and "vegetable" sections of the bakery's extensive sandwich menu, is debauchery disguised in a charming straw basket. Buttery brioche slices are schmeared with Nutella and dark Valrhona chocolate, griddled until melty, and dusted with powdered sugar.

Sweets suckers, beware; health nuts, be damned.
