Japanese Snack Time
This is one of the saddest Dumpling faces we've ever seen. Stare at it long enough and you'll be able to hear his plaintive puppy whimpers. Why is he so sad? Head over to the next slide.
Dumpling was sad because he wanted a cinnamon bun. Alas, they were just for the humans in the office. Robyn made this batch of Norwegian cinnamon buns to test out a recipe, soon to be blogged on Serious Eats.
Making Hand-Pulled Noodles
It'd be cool if we had a guy making fresh hand-pulled noodles in the office, but this was after-hours when Robyn and Seriously Asian columnist Chichi went to Lam Zhou in Manhattan's Chinatown for some hand-pulled noodle research. Birthday Burrito, Destroyed
Part of Dumpling's birthday celebration involved feeding him a birthday burrito—a burrito that he messily demolished in seconds. Being in burrito heaven, Dumpling probably didn't notice that the rest of the office was watching him fling bits of burrito innards (chicken and rice) on the floor.
