Hot Doggin’ It
This was one of the first sandwich ideas I came up with. I love the way Theresa played with the colors of the props, and I think Patty’s food styling gives it a real whimsical feel.
Don’t Be Afraid
Arachibutyrophobia is the fear of getting peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth. Note where we’ve positioned the jelly. And yes, those are Alpha-Bits.
Wordplay, a clever prop, good lighting, and artful styling. Makes me smile every time I see it.
I love GORP (the original trail mix made of Good Old Raisins and Peanuts). GORP is kind of like hippie food, and so a peace sign seemed quite appropriate.
This caketopper couple doesn’t look so happy do they? Guess what he just sprang on her!
Throughout the process we had a few sandwiches that didn’t quite turn out as expected so we had some room to improvise new ones. While picking up some blueberries for another sandwich I spied these pizzelles on a display rack and though of a way to turn this traditional Italian cookie into a newfangled sandwich of sorts.
The idea for this sandwich was always for a die cut slice of bread with starfruit. We were trying to use glow in the dark stickers in the photo but it just wasn’t working. Then one of our interns had a brilliant idea. I think she’s an Art History major.
